| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: erofs: avoid infinite loops due to corrupted subpage compact indexes Robert reported an infinite loop observed by two crafted images. The root cause is that `clusterofs` can be larger than `lclustersize` for !NONHEAD `lclusters` in corrupted subpage compact indexes, e.g.: blocksize = lclustersize = 512 lcn = 6 clusterofs = 515 Move the corresponding check for full compress indexes to `z_erofs_load_lcluster_from_disk()` to also cover subpage compact compress indexes. It also fixes the position of `m->type >= Z_EROFS_LCLUSTER_TYPE_MAX` check, since it should be placed right after `z_erofs_load_{compact,full}_lcluster()`. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mtdchar: fix integer overflow in read/write ioctls The "req.start" and "req.len" variables are u64 values that come from the user at the start of the function. We mask away the high 32 bits of "req.len" so that's capped at U32_MAX but the "req.start" variable can go up to U64_MAX which means that the addition can still integer overflow. Use check_add_overflow() to fix this bug. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: sxgbe: fix potential NULL dereference in sxgbe_rx() Currently, when skb is null, the driver prints an error and then dereferences skb on the next line. To fix this, let's add a 'break' after the error message to switch to sxgbe_rx_refill(), which is similar to the approach taken by the other drivers in this particular case, e.g. calxeda with xgmac_rx(). | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_sock: Prevent race in socket write iter and sock bind There is a potential race condition between sock bind and socket write iter. bind may free the same cmd via mgmt_pending before write iter sends the cmd, just as syzbot reported in UAF[1]. | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hung_task: fix warnings caused by unaligned lock pointers The blocker tracking mechanism assumes that lock pointers are at least 4-byte aligned to use their lower bits for type encoding. However, as reported by Eero Tamminen, some architectures like m68k only guarantee 2-byte alignment of 32-bit values. This breaks the assumption and causes two related WARN_ON_ONCE checks to trigger. To fix this, the runtime checks are adjusted to silently ignore any lock that is not 4-byte aligned, effectively disabling the feature in such cases and avoiding the related warnings. | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: atlantic: fix fragment overflow handling in RX path The atlantic driver can receive packets with more than MAX_SKB_FRAGS (17) fragments when handling large multi-descriptor packets. This causes an out-of-bounds write in skb_add_rx_frag_netmem() leading to kernel panic. The issue occurs because the driver doesn't check the total number of fragments before calling skb_add_rx_frag(). When a packet requires more than MAX_SKB_FRAGS fragments, the fragment index exceeds the array bounds. Fix by assuming there will be an extra frag if buff->len > AQ_CFG_RX_HDR_SIZE, then all fragments are accounted for. And reusing the existing check to prevent the overflow earlier in the code path. This crash occurred in production with an Aquantia AQC113 10G NIC. | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: ufs: core: Fix invalid probe error return value After DME Link Startup, the error return value is set to the MIPI UniPro GenericErrorCode which can be 0 (SUCCESS) or 1 (FAILURE). Upon failure during driver probe, the error code 1 is propagated back to the driver probe function which must return a negative value to indicate an error, but 1 is not negative, so the probe is considered to be successful even though it failed. Subsequently, removing the driver results in an oops because it is not in a valid state. This happens because none of the callers of ufshcd_init() expect a non-negative error code. Fix the return value and documentation to match actual usage. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_core: lookup hci_conn on RX path on protocol side The hdev lock/lookup/unlock/use pattern in the packet RX path doesn't ensure hci_conn* is not concurrently modified/deleted. This locking appears to be leftover from before conn_hash started using RCU commit bf4c63252490b ("Bluetooth: convert conn hash to RCU") and not clear if it had purpose since then. Currently, there are code paths that delete hci_conn* from elsewhere than the ordered hdev->workqueue where the RX work runs in. E.g. commit 5af1f84ed13a ("Bluetooth: hci_sync: Fix UAF on hci_abort_conn_sync") introduced some of these, and there probably were a few others before it. It's better to do the locking so that even if these run concurrently no UAF is possible. | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usbnet: Prevents free active kevent The root cause of this issue are: 1. When probing the usbnet device, executing usbnet_link_change(dev, 0, 0); put the kevent work in global workqueue. However, the kevent has not yet been scheduled when the usbnet device is unregistered. Therefore, executing free_netdev() results in the "free active object (kevent)" error reported here. 2. Another factor is that when calling usbnet_disconnect()->unregister_netdev(), if the usbnet device is up, ndo_stop() is executed to cancel the kevent. However, because the device is not up, ndo_stop() is not executed. The solution to this problem is to cancel the kevent before executing free_netdev(). | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: afs: Fix delayed allocation of a cell's anonymous key The allocation of a cell's anonymous key is done in a background thread along with other cell setup such as doing a DNS upcall. In the reported bug, this is triggered by afs_parse_source() parsing the device name given to mount() and calling afs_lookup_cell() with the name of the cell. The normal key lookup then tries to use the key description on the anonymous authentication key as the reference for request_key() - but it may not yet be set and so an oops can happen. This has been made more likely to happen by the fix for dynamic lookup failure. Fix this by firstly allocating a reference name and attaching it to the afs_cell record when the record is created. It can share the memory allocation with the cell name (unfortunately it can't just overlap the cell name by prepending it with "afs@" as the cell name already has a '.' prepended for other purposes). This reference name is then passed to request_key(). Secondly, the anon key is now allocated on demand at the point a key is requested in afs_request_key() if it is not already allocated. A mutex is used to prevent multiple allocation for a cell. Thirdly, make afs_request_key_rcu() return NULL if the anonymous key isn't yet allocated (if we need it) and then the caller can return -ECHILD to drop out of RCU-mode and afs_request_key() can be called. Note that the anonymous key is kind of necessary to make the key lookup cache work as that doesn't currently cache a negative lookup, but it's probably worth some investigation to see if NULL can be used instead. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFS: Fix LTP test failures when timestamps are delegated The utimes01 and utime06 tests fail when delegated timestamps are enabled, specifically in subtests that modify the atime and mtime fields using the 'nobody' user ID.
